4-year old boy watches mother get shot to death

Jenika Jones, 23, was shot to death at her home in Lancaster, South Carolina, while her three children were home.

From an article:

The neighbor told deputies that a child came running from the residence and was beating on the door. The neighbor said three people ran from the residence.

Jones' family members said the 4-year-old boy fled his home after witnessing his mother's murder. He crossed the street to a neighbor's house and banged on the door.

"I just held them and cried," the children's father, Anthonio Truesdale, told Herald news partner WSOC-TV.

Truesdale said he arrived home shortly after the fatal shooting.

Deputies are not sure what led to the shooting, said Maj. Matt Shaw of the Sheriff's Office.

....

The children are staying with their grandmother, family members said.
