10-year old girl and woman shot in Memphis home invasion

A 10-year old girl was visiting the home of her 35-year old godmother in Memphis, Tennessee, when there was a knock on the door.  The woman's son opened the door, and two armed men entered the home and opened fire, hitting the girl and woman.  They stole some cash and fled.

A number of other children were also present in the home.

The girl is in critical condition.  The woman was treated at the hospital and released.

From the article and video:

Police say a 35-year old woman and a 10-year-old girl were gunned down by intruders.
There were several other children inside the apartment including a 12-year-old girl who told us the victims were her mother and the daughter of a family friend.
Neighbors say the 10-year-old victim was just visiting.
“She was just an innocent bystander,” said Cournesha Woods.
Police say there were eight people inside the apartment between the ages of 2 and 45 when the suspects forced their way inside.
Investigators say they made them all get on the ground, took the cash and then fired shots at the residence once they were outside.
