7-year old Georgia boy killed after playing with loaded gun

A 7-year old boy in Long County, Georgia, played with a loaded, unsecured gun in his trailer home and shot himself dead.

From an article:
A 7-year old child is dead, the victim of a gunshot wound to the chest.
Long County Sheriff's Department says the boy was shot in the chest.
It happened around 11 this morning in the Twin Oaks Mobile Home Park.
Sheriff Craig Nobles says a man is in custody pending investigation.
The child was rushed to the hospital after being shot but was pronounced dead there. “I was shocked because I don't know how you can have unsecured loaded guns in the house when you have small children. That's just not acceptable,” said neighbor Jenny Barnes.
Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
