A girl in Toledo, Ohio, was injured in the foot by a stray bullet during a shootout between two boys.

From an article:

A girl in North Toledo was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center tonight with a bullet wound in the foot after she was hit by gunfire intended for someone else, police said.
The shooting was reported in the 3500 block of North Erie Street near Suder Avenue just after 8:15 p.m.
The girl, whose age and identity were not released, was standing on the sidewalk when one boy fired a handgun at another boy during a quarrel.
Police later found a gun in a nearby alley.
Two boys were taken to the Safety Building for questioning. No one was charged by 10:45 p.m.
The girl’s injury was not believed to be life threatening.

Bullets don't know when to stop.
