Two teenage girls were wounded overnight in separate shootings in Oak Cliff and West Dallas.
The first shooting happened about 2:30 a.m. at a home in the 5700 block of Bellcrest Drive in southeast Oak Cliff.
The 16-year-old victim was shot in the torso when someone outside fired several rounds into the home, according to police. Five other people inside suffered minor cuts from shattered glass.
The girl was taken to Baylor University Medical Center in good condition. Her name was not released.
Family members told KFDW-TV (Channel 4) that they believe the shooting was retaliation for an ongoing feud over social media.
The second shooting happened about 5:15 a.m. at a home in the 2000 block of Dennison Street in West Dallas.
Witnesses say three men burst into the home and opened fire, striking a 16-year-old girl in the shoulder and a man in the back.
Both victims were taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in serious condition. Neither was identified.
No arrests had been reported in either shooting. Police were investigating and had yet to release possible motives or suspect descriptions..
